I'm sure Jack can chime in on the 'How To' but my question is why? The Keychain in Mac OS X when set up and used properly is one of the most useful behind the scenes Applications on the Mac, especially if that Mac is on the Internet or used for email. I have about 15 various email address in Entourage and the user name and passwords for those (I Think) are stored in the Keychain so if I have to access them outside of Entourage (away from home on a portable) I have them. When i visit the iBBS or many other forums, shopping websites, ebay, and other, I never have to log in by typing my password. It is either automatic or a click away due to the Keychain.
The main reason I love the keychain is because of.Mac SYncing all my Keychain items are stored across ALL of my Macs. When the keychain isn't working properly I know it can be frustrating. I would REALLY suggest starting over from scratch and make sure that items put in the keychain are correct and factual. You can't ged rid of it entirely that I know of. You can wipe out all the entries though: You can also delete a keychain file from the Keychain Access program (this is from the Keychain help): Deleting a keychain If your keychain has become inaccessible for some reason (for example, if you've forgotten the password), you can delete it and manually create a new keychain. Deleting the keychain removes the keychain from the Keychains list but does not remove the keychain file from your disk.
If you remember your password later, you can recover the items stored in the keychain by choosing Edit Keychain List and adding this file. Open Keychain Access, located in /Applications/Utilities. Choose Edit Keychain List, then select the keychain you want to delete. Click Delete (-). If that doesn't work, you should be able to rename any files inside the /Library/Keychains directory (Keychain Access must not be running).
Interestingly enough, there are no keychains to delete. Every new action on my part results in a dialog box asking about passwords and resets to something else. A simple click closes the box on most ocasions, but some times it requires my system password just to close the box. When I tried to repair keychain, the Mac locks up and requires re-start to get back to a desktop.
